Re: 1942 Chevrolet Flatbed that ate My Brain

I am trying to figure out the fuel lines. The fuel lines on the tank are the type that have a rubber seal. The TBI has the same. I will look at fuel line and adapters online and see if there is something that will work. Any ideas where to look?

Re: 1942 Chevrolet Flatbed that ate My Brain

I started to work on the shifter. It is an American Shifter from the Hoffman Group. I now everyone says they are junk but I put it together and called tech support and it is working out so far

Thank you. I am really going to try to keep going on this and finish it to at least a driving point.

Re: 1942 Chevrolet Flatbed that ate My Brain

Fuel and return line are done. Not sure what to do with the vent lines. Started cleaning the transmission. I had a bunch of different products and Purple Power seemed to work well. I will post a pic when clean. I installed an energy transmission mount. Now the engine and trans are locked in. I really need to mount the cab in its finished location, so I started trying to figure that out. When this body was on this frame before I only had the radiator locked in. This next week I will measure the distance of the fender holes to the top of the running board. That should give me the correct cab height. I dont remember if the top of the radiator support is level with the cab at the hood mounting locations. I also dont remember what the space is between the cab rocker and the top of the running board. I will post more pics
