headers on a 89
anyone put headers on their 1989 c3500 gm , will they fit ???
Seen a pair on Amazon and he claims they fit and bolt up to factory exhaust , looking at them I can't see that happening . |

Pics of the headers? If they are shorty/mid-length you might have a chance. Long tubes I would say no way.

You are asking if any random set of headers with fit any setup of an 89 c3500? The answer is no. If you buy headers specific to your application and setup, and they are made to work with factory exhaust, then yes they will fit fine.

Re: headers on a 89
With the amount restriction in the way the heads flow and the very limited 450 CFM flow in the throttle body answers your question. It is not a performance engine by any means, unless you bump the compression, replace the cam and cyl heads, work the throttle body, up the injector pressure and burn a new chip

Re: headers on a 89
lol making an engine more efficient is not a waste. You don't have to have a performance engine to make it better.
