Spring swap
So the K20 I just inherited has the F60 and G50 heavy duty spring options. I need to soften up the ride. The choices for new springs appear to be 1110 lbs , 2350 lbs , 3390 lbs and 4100 lbs. The truck has a steel flatbed on it so I'm guessing the 1110 lbs springs would be too light. The truck is only gonna do light hauling from now a scoop of dirt or gravel etc. Probably won't tow more than a 1 ton capacity trailer. How about some ideas on what spring rates to consider ?

Re: Spring swap
I would think the lightest springs would still hold the truck at ride height. Not clear on your need. My stock K10 shortbed with the lightest springs rode like a buckboard wagon. Reason I had the longer custom springs made for my wants. Was quite a bit of work to fit them. My 72 K20 longbed had stock leafs in the back and it was not good unloaded. Maybe a consideration is the light springs with air assist bags to adjust for load?
