I received the lever and knob from Mel @ Classis Bowties, and was able to get it installed yesterday
It looks much better with the shorter lever along with the 15" steering wheel.
Before and after as well as side by side comparison.

That new repro short style tilt column shift lever looks and goes great with the smaller diameter cushion grip sport wheel, thanks for the update and again for taking the time to share your installed before/after comparison pics.
