Re: Steering Wheel Restoration

I just finished restoring my wheel. I opened all cracks down to steel and used JB Weld steel reenforced epoxy putty, smoothed it up and used SEM plastic adhesion promotor, a couple of coats of epoxy and smoothing, then paint.

Re: Steering Wheel Restoration

Great work, I would hardly have thought that possible, definitely a lot of work.

Re: Steering Wheel Restoration

Hello everyone!
After a long time I finished with the steering wheel.
Some clarifications, each crack was enlarged with a dremel up to the steel core of the steering wheel.
I add some more photos of the painted and already installed on the truck.
As you will see my "paint booth" is quite improvised, but with the possible care the result is acceptable.
I send you greetings and good luck with your work.
