2 Questions on CPP Disc brake Kit

I just put the CPP front disc brake kit on my truck. I had two questions. The kit came with a rubber gromet in the picture below. I am not sure what that was for and didn't see a place in the assemble to use it. Did anyone else get one of these in their kits and figured out what to do with it?

The other question is with the brake line hoses. They seem very long. I am wondering when the wheel is turned all the way towards the crossmember if they will kink. Anyone else have this issue with the CPP kits?

Re: 2 Questions on CPP Disc brake Kit

I think they wedge those in the calipers to keep the piston from coming out of the bore during shipping. They're not used anywhere on the truck itself.

For the brake hose, I just twisted mine enough to add a loop to to take up the slack.

Re: 2 Questions on CPP Disc brake Kit

I used the same kit as well. I couldn't figure out the donut either, so left it out.
I did the same with brake line. Twisted and confirmed it wasn't rubbing. I did put one of those protective sleeves over the hose just to be sure it wouldn't rub through as quick if there was movement. Its the kind of sleeve that is a series of tight coils. Ultimately, I want to order shorter houses.
