68 longbed parking brake bits and pieces...
The parking break in my truck is not hooked up. I think it got all hacked up when one of the previous owners dropped this 350/350 in. It's missing some pieces. I got to get under there and take a good look at what I'm needing.
I have done a little online research on where to get parts, lmc seems to have the most complete inventory of brake parts. I think Pony has some too. Rock and Autozone don't have much. Have any of you guys done the hand lever parking brake before, where'd you get your parts? Is there a video out there? TIA |

Are you talking about the 67-68 style E-brake?

For the cables and related parts go to inlinetube.com and put in your year make/model. They have everything and in my experience it fits. They sell full kits as well as all the pieces.
Are any of your cables still there? Here's a link to the hardware/guides kit - https://www.inlinetube.com/products/...del=C10+Pickup |

Re: 68 longbed parking brake bits and pieces...
FYI that length of the 'intermediate cable' can be the hardest to figure out. There is a universal, cut to length cable that you can use forever to to try to get the correct length:
https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-21119-.../dp/B000CO90E6 The cable from the handle inside and the cables coming off the rear drums are easy to figure out. |

Yeah, Parking Brake/Emergency Brake...
There is cable coming out of the rear brake drums, but the cable and connector to that are gone. There's a rod and some other cable all bunched together and stuffed up between the cab and frame. There is some cable coming off the hand brake. I haven't gotten down and sorted it all out yet though....... I have run across inlinetube online when searching but haven't checked them out, I will now, Thanks... |
