Well I don't know about the foam or covers you mentioned but I do know a little about foam itself.
You don't want to make the cushion or back thicker. This will mess with how they fit together. It can also be an issue if you're tall, sitting higher isn't going to help. Foam usually has a density and ILD rating ( see attached chart) .
