Hello hevy_chevy67. Happy new year. Is that a true, K5 Blazer, 4WD frame? If so, how did you locate the hole for the Trailing arm cross member? Do you have measurements or a guide? I want to use your blue print. Thanks in advance, Clark.

Started putting the front end together. I had a set of control arms and crossmember powder coated, so I put those together along with 2" drop springs and drop spindles.
Ripped out the engine & trans from the Yukon donor. I was planning to part it out but the FB Marketplace idiots and messages were in full force. Not worth the headache and effort so I sold the whole thing as is and re-couped a bit of my cost. He picked it up on Sunday so at least its gone and down the road.

Hello hevy_Chevy67. Happy new year. What are you gonna do for the steering link, as it pertains to the idler arm/pitman arm that connects to the center link. I’m converting a 4WD Blazer to 2WD and the passenger side doesn’t have frame indentations to accommodate the idler bracket. I made a template, drilled the (2) holes. The other option was to use a c10 rack and pinion kit . LMK what you think.

Took everything apart again. I should have done it before, but I took the front 1/2 of the tub in to get sandblasted. Some metal work to do and then I'll raptor line the bottom of the cab before setting back on the frame.

I don't have much experience with a welder but I'm learning. After getting the front half of the tub blasted, it needed some work. The inner piece of the windshield header panel was Swiss cheese with some terrible repairs from a previous owner. Filled with body filler. Anyways, drilled out all the spot welds and took the old piece off. The outer ones were in really good shape, not sure why the inner one went bad. New one one back in and started repair on the radio holes that were cut out. Some grinding needed yet but looks better.

Sent out my 6l80 to get refreshed and a 2wd conversion a couple weeks ago and it came back. Resealed and cleaned up the 6.2 today and placed into the frame.
