Talking New to me project 1970 K20

Not much to look at right now, but picked up a semi complete 1970 KE240 long term project over the weekend. Not many options originally. Missing the 350 and the 8' bed. Came with the 4 speed and NP205 transfer case. Frame is almost perfect, with zero pits and no collision damage. Cab needs rocker panels and outer floor replacement, but inner roof and radio area are great. Windshield/back window are excellent. This is a Tarrytown, NY build. VIN plate not disturbed, and crisp VIN stamping on the forward frame matches cab. Unfortunately, there is no SPID. It also has a clear title. Originally this truck was painted 527 Dark Gold Poly. I will be painting it 508 Dark Blue Poly to match my grandfathers lost 1970 K20 that I grew up with. Only options this truck will have once completed will be 10.00-16.5 wheels, tach, tilt, power steering/power brakes, AM radio, 350 engine, DG4 white mirrors, sliding rear window. This will not have a rear bumper, no trim, and a white painted front bumper.

Sweet part of the deal that it included NOS GM old issue inner and outer grilles, even though the outer is not assembly line correct. They will have the correct finish and fit.

Awesome find. Don’t see many tarrytown builds. I’m in to see it come together. My great grandfather had a 72 C10 in 508. I get your desire to go that route.
