Another Corporation moving out of Calif

Looks like In-n-out is bailing from the State after almost 80 years, moving headquarters to Tenn. and possibly taking employees and families with them

They are building a restaurant near me now.

I will have to watch the video a little bit later today.

Good for them. However, the Tennesseans are already upset by all the Californians moving there. They'll really be upset now.

Re: Another Corporation moving out of Calif

Not surprised, I go out for a walk each day and its unbelievable how many vehicles I see with California, Illinois and New York plates. The neighborhood behind me had four houses come up for sale and all sold with in the first week. Three of them to Californians. Hopefully they leave what ever made them move from California there and not bring it with them here. We have enough of our own problems.

Re: Another Corporation moving out of Calif

.

Last three Texas homes I sold went to families from FL('20), CA('22) and CA('24) respectively. The middle one was purchased unseen. I think the local rep facetimed the buyers while walking through it.

In 2020, the FL family wrote us a letter along with their offer. Their offer was 15k below our highest offer, cash offer, from a buyer in CA. In the end, they came up 10k and got the house. So...it was close to 3 for 3!

They aren’t leaving Cali. They are closing their Irvine headquarters and consolidating operations to Baldwin Park where they began. They are expanding their operations and east coast headquarters will be in Tennessee.

Re: Another Corporation moving out of Calif

I watched several videos months ago,
When I found out there will be a Restuarant 10 minutes away from my house.

Some video's does Not do this company Justice In My Humble Opinion.

I like the owner and her perspective of keeping this company going and not selling out to a (Big) Franchise.

This video in the Block below is the Better of the several video's I watched.

It tells about The Current President (Lindsey Snyder) of the Company.

Her Grandparents (Harry and Esther Snyder) started the chain in 1948.

Harry died in 1976 and Esther handed control to Lindsey's Uncle Rich.

Rich was killed in a Plane crash.

Then the next leader was her Father.
He died when she was 17 years old.

This left her as the Only Blood Relative.

So, she hired in in the same process/ like every other person would do.

She worked there as an employee till 27 years old.
Then Became President.

I Really like the part about when she starts wearing {Pants Suits}
And then says she not going to be something she is not.

She says she is going to keep this a Private company.

She is not even entertaining an IPO.
Yeah, I had to Goo GLe it.

I think I will try? the secret menu items first.

The Flying Dutchman.?

I just hope her Oldest Son has the same Mindset she appears to have.

They aren’t bad especially for the price. I like mine a triple animal style. Their fries are pretty decent too. Not the best burger I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst by a long shot.

It's Good! In fact, as far as fast food goes it's my favorite. Problem is the nearest one is 15 mi. from me....on second thought that's a good thing.

In-N-Out has a very basic limited menu, Burgers and Fresh Cut French Fries, with a couple of twist for each, plus your normal Shakes and Sodas.
What they do, they do very well since they don't offer 30 different menu items.

And the best kicker is they are never short of help, they are piled in there like Bees in a Beehive and they are all busy.

Re: Another Corporation moving out of Calif

That's a beaut Ricky....!!!!!
I just know the fuss everybody makes when a new burger joint comes to a town near me,
and they mostly fall short
Whataburger...more like what a joke
Mccallisters...OK, but nothing special
Cookout..,decent, but it didn't last a whole year and they closed the doors
5guys...good, but with their prices we call it a payday burger..

5guys being the only one that even halfway lived up to the hype

Yeah Greg

I with you on that (New Hype thing) and I hope this is not a Disappointment.

Lebanon has a McCallister's that open in 6/2022.
I have not been yet.

The Whataburger here in Lebanon was good at first.
But IMHO has took a Nose-dive in Quality.

My wife and I was on Vacation.
And while driving back from Florida We stopped at a Whataburger.
We were So Hungry It was Great.
So, we looked forward to when the Whataburger opened here in 7/22.

What a Disappointment for us.

The Cookout in Lebanon and Murfreesboro are doing Great.
I am Glad they are Very good.

My Opinion on 5Guys (Like you mentioned on the Price) I could take it or leave it.

Re: Another Corporation moving out of Calif

In and out burgers are just OK, but not that good. Last time I ate there 'bout 4 years ago I remember thinking they turned into selling crappy food, and told myself not to waste my money there anymore. Seems they were better 20 - 30 years ago

Re: Another Corporation moving out of Calif

I’ve eaten there my entire life. It has always tasted the same, nothing has ever changed. It is the best fast food/chain hamburger in my opinion (and many, many other people’s). I can’t remember the first time I ever had a McDonald’s, Burger King, etc, but I do remember the first time I ever had In N Out

I can make a better burger at my house and I prefer a hole-in-the-wall mom and pop burger stand when on the road (if there’s one around). If I’m forced to eat fast food In N Out is the only place I’ll go.
