If you had the extra money!
There are many things that I would do to my truck if I just had the money.the list could go on and on, into several truck projects.a $10,000 priority budget for each truck would be awsome.just think of the investment and the nice finished product one could have! .I envy many of you for having the funds to complete your truck projects. I would start with a frame off that I probably wont do , because once ya get started ya cant go back.a long list would follow and give me plenty of good therapy.name some of the priorities you would do if ya had some extra cash.

If I had some extra cash...I could probably build my truck up close to what I want it to be. 6" all spring lift, 1" body lift, 38" ground hawgs, my dana 60 front with 4.56 gears and a lock-rite, crossover steering, my rear eaton ho52 axle installed, some sort of roll cage, 32 spline transmission upgrade, new driveshafts, new interior, and engine. the engine is a big ? right now, though. I have the old 350 still, I can get a free 292 (that hasnt ran in 10 yrs), but a Cummins 4bta also sounds very appetizing. Oh well, since I'm a broke college student I guess I get plenty of time to think about stuff before I do it.

dream truck
I would have a tube chasis built for a 1967 swb fleet. it would have coil over front suspension and four link rear.and a rat engine with at least 1000 hp. I would race every hot rod around for PINKS. SOME DAY IT WILL HAPPEN JOHN

just like you said, a frame off complete build. but first I would need a different daily driver. it would need to be a truck so I could haul parts. then set it up on jack stands in the middle of my own 2 car garage & start the dissassembly & careful catagorizing of parts. then comes the painful part, ordering everything for the whole shebang. the way I see it the parts, tools & equipment (welder & torch), drivetrain upgrades & paint shop would total near the $20K range.
but hey, what better way to spend time with my children than rebuilding a classic truck?!

If I had the extra money I would pay somebody else to work on my truck.

funny this topic came up, im a bit confused on what to do, the 67 is a solid driver and i do want to do more to it but ive got a bug for a 4x4 right now, im looking for a 67-72 obviously but also id like a landcruiser fj40 or fj45 with a small block of course, ive had one in the past and it was a ton of fun, and finally i know you guys will hate this but i really like those old style bronco's, the ones with the small truck boxes and the little removable hard top, i think they came out in the mid 60s to the early 70s...so thats where im at, if any of those trucks come along id be all over it but for now ill keep stashing my money away

10 Large would just about put the TBI 350 and 700R4 into my shorty. Course, the body and suspension mods would require ANOTHER 10 to put it perfect.
I always told my wife: There's nothing wrong with my truck that a sh**load of money wouldn't fix! H.
