Just wanted to give some updates on Sandy, and what she is up to now a days. She currently lives in Mississippi and is a daily driver just about every day that it doesn't rain. Lots of miles have been put on her and after the earlier hiccups with the Holley Terminator, she is still a blast to drive, so much that I tried to buy her from my buddy
Anyways she is back in the shop to get an LT4 blower installed. I put a bigger motor in my C10 and my he just didn't like the fact that I had more "smash" than him, so he said to make it happen.
So going from an LT1 to an LT4 isn't as easy as the internet makes it out to be. But I'm making it happen. With the blower you have to pretty much change everything under the hood except the short block. Heads were pulled off to get freshened up and the blower mount holes drilled/tapped. High and low press fuel pumps, injectors, and fuel lines needed to be changed. I installed a Holley accessory drive which has the dedicated blower belt, a heat exchanger/pump and coolant tank, Improved racing oil cooler, boost controller, more relays, upgraded wiring and a bunch of other stuff. Truck is running out of room to put stuff.
Anyways here are a few pics of the process. Hope to have it running later this week so we can test it at an SCCA event in August, over in MS.
