another 700r4 question
I have a chance to buy a 88or89 chev full size 1/2 ton truck. lt has a 4.3 V6 to a automatic. Question is, can it be a th350. If its a 4 speed, can it be a 200r4. I will only buy the truck if its a 700r4. Thanks for your help.

Every single one of those trucks with an automatic and not a 454 SS that I've ever seen, had a 700r4. This applies to U.S. spec trucks. I once saw an imported Mexican full size that still had the Th350.
Look at the instrument cluster if it has PRNODLL with the overdrive spot, it will be a 700 I worked on them in the dealership for a good while.
