Panel rear doors
Just a curiosity question. I have seen both barn and clamshell doors on suburbans but never recall seeing clamshell doors on a panel. Anybody ever seen clamshell doors factory on a panel.

Re: Panel rear doors
Clam shell was not an option for the panel truck. Never seen one retro fitted either.

Re: Panel rear doors
That is what i thought but asked anyway. Thanks.
Thought also that it might have been an option as the 50's sedan deliveries would have probably been clam shell style. |

Re: Panel rear doors
I think 50's sedan deliverys had a single door in the rear that opened like a typical driver or passenger door, then in 55-57 I believe they were one large door that opened as a hatch.
50's panels might have been different though.

Re: Panel rear doors
Grand father had 1951 sedan delivery. Can not say all but know that one had one door in rear. He painted out of it and had it in cars shows first of year with simple wash and wax. Not all painters are slop artist.
