It make sense to me, but I am still amazed of the metal work on some of the repair, and like the use of the newer Pontiac parts.

As for doing it your way I totally get it as I have deeply cut and modded my 64 Olds Cutlass that I have owned for about 20 years, and the only time I got nervous was cutting into my spare hood to add the 66 Pontiac GTO hood scoop.

love to see a pic of the scoop on your Olds. (65 - 67 GTO hood scoops are beautiful)

I still have a lot of work ahead, but here is the hood mocked up.

BTW the GTO hood was junk so this was a rescue of GM parts. LOL!

Yes you did, and there will be a Firebird auto shifter in there as well.

I have 2, the red one is in better condition (will be recovered) but the other one has the bracket to attach it to the dash that I used for mock up
