Next time one of them quits look into the vortec era mini starters, they weigh about 10 lbs at the most, use less current, are pretty cheap these days, and are much better suited to avoid heat soak from headers or other close exhaust than the old style starters. They take specific 4 5/16” long knurled bolt but are otherwise drop in if running an HEI and not needing the coil terminal on the starter.
