That panel looks good. Having it removable will definitely pay dividends down the road.
My buddy turned all the guages in his 9.90 Vega so the needles all point vertical when the engine is running normally. That way any needle that isn't vertical draws his attention. It looks goofy when the engine isn't running but he prefers it.
