Re: 72 c10 front upper shock mount replacement

One of the mounts on my Burban were beyond wallered and other one had been welded in place by the PO. Since the truck was bagged the shocks were the bump stops. I installed some raised shock mounts along with longer shocks. The raised mounts are still working well now the truck is back to static springs in the front.

Just another option for you. I will admit drilling the holes for the raised mounts was a real pain. If I knew how easy it is to remove the inner fender wells at the time I would have done that to make installing the raised mounts easier.
