Right Front Hub Removal ?

Got another question

is it possible to remove the hub assembly from the truck to inspect the wheel bearings to see if they are shot or not?

Reason I ask is because for the past month ive been getting this loud humming noise comeing from right front wheel area it gets louder as you speed up and quits as you slow down, Now I am not 100 % if this is the wheel bearings causeing this noise or not, Ive never had a hub apart on one of these newer blazers before, ive had plenty off the older 4x4's were the bearings are seperate from the hub assembly , but from what i know arnt the bearings pressed into the hub and the only way to replace them is to purchase a new hub with the bearings installed ? this is what i was told by the parts guy at the store were i buy all my parts from

he told me if they are really bad i may have to chissle the old hub off.

I jacked the truck up off the ground today and there was NO PLAY in the wheel at all.
how do i go abouts of removeing the hub to inspect the wheel bearings?

He is right, the bearing is pressed in. It's not too bad to change, but I would jack the car up and spin the wheel first. If the bearings are bad, you should hear it. On my 99, to change them, I needed to remove the housing that holds the brake caliper and housing, remove the cv joint nut (1-3/8- I think) and then get a screw driver or something thin to drive the hub away from the housing. Take your time, it comes out eventually.

isnt the weight on the bearings i donno
