how much for a running 402BB (carb to pan)

I'm considering selling a complete 402 BB. It runs great and is still in the truck (so you can hear it run). Good idle, sounds great, no leaks.

Carb to Pan (edelbrock carb)
all the brakets & accessories (ps & ac)

What do you think is a fair price for this?

Do you think I'll get alot of interest?

Thanks

It depends on mileage, stock or performance, burning oil, etc.

mileage is unknown but the engine is very clean so I'd say its minimal. Stock build. Not burning a drop.

Sounds like a nice motor you got there. Guessing around $900.

You can part the stock accessory brackets out for more than you can sell the bare block for. You could easilly get 400-500 for the bracketry alone (if complete). If 72, the frame stands will go for $100+, you get the idea. To sell as a package, low end would be $700 if its a runner.

I'm thinking $900 is low. If we're talking $600 for brackets and frame stands, averge bare block price (in my neck of the woods) of $900 thats already over $1,500 without the carb and accesories. Plus, this one doesn't need to be rebuilt, here's a pic:

Anyway, think I could get $1,800 for it?

I didn't consider the brackets with my guess but $1800 might be pushing it. Good luck with the sale dude. Looks like a nice engine bay!.

402BB engine

Man! I don't know where these prices are coming from. I have a great running Big block in my 1972 3 dr. Burb. I would sell the whole truck running down the road for $1300. Mileage since rebuild approx. 35,000 miles. Looks all original. Has the big block, 400 turbo, dual A/C (hooked up with free spinning compressor, but not blowing cold), power steering ( needs high pressure hose), power disc brakes, average body (has some rust), thrashed interior, ralley wheels.
