overload springs

are overload springs worth anything besides scrap metal? if so about how much?

my first 68 had them and i wanted to keep them b/c the new one i was getting ready to build didn't have them and I love my overload springs, keeps the rear from squating at all. even half a ton won't squat.

Depends on the person as to how much they're worth. Try to sell localy due to the fact that they're heavy.

I just got a set off of ebay for 9 bucks. He didn't know what he had.

also, the springs alone go for 139.95/each in LMC, the spring strikers (the part on the axle that the springs rest on aren't aftermarketly made yet and they are hard to find. I had to pay 25.00 shipped for a pair off here and i think i got a good price, i was willing to pay more.

Are you talking about the leaf overload spring for the rear of a truck with coil spring rear? My C20 has the double coils on each side in the rear. It has super payload capacity but with a slide in camper it sways a lot.
