anyone use painless wiring?

The title says it all. Has anyone used a painless wiring hookup, and was it really "painless"? I'm asking because I'm looking at their cheap truck harness, because mine needs a complete rewiring and I really don't want to use the original wiring system if it's going to be restored.

I installed one in my Model A and my wifes 70 Stepside. I used the 18 circuit kit, no problems. I did it in a couple evenings, all you need is a couple tools and some beer. I have no complaints with the kit.

Almost forgot, if you're going to use an electric fan, you'll have to order a fan relay kit separately.

no, I"m going to leave the truck completely stock - meaning the solid engine-driven fan. I might add a CD changer in the glovebox, but that shouldn't matter much. Thanks for the input.

I'm currently installing a harness from E-Z Wiring and it's going very easily.

I installed the 72 Chevy truck harness and A/C harness in my blazer- had to make the hole alittle bigger in the firewall for the new fuse box, but evrything else just hooked up- right color codes, wires are numbered, etc.

I worked as a phone tech guy for awhile at Painless Wiring about 12 years ago. I can't vouch for that exact harness, but the street rods universal kits are top notch quality.

Back when I worked there, they made universal harnesses and EFI conversion harnesses. The truck stuff came later.
