Im pretty sure that one is on the inside of frame and the truck is on outside, So it would be upside down.

Sorry. As I won't have the car home until sunday, I haven't looked at the position of the steering box.

68-84 power steering boxs will fit but in 73 they changed the water pump to a longer neck. you can use a 73 and newer pump but you have to change the water pump and move the alternator to passanger side you will need;power steering pump, brackets, water pump ,pitman arm,alt brackets, and pulleys off a 73-84 truck i can have pics i done this swap on my 72 1-ton[all 1/2 to 1-tons run the same stuff]. about2-3 hours to do it is all bolt in.if you can find the 68-72 [steering ]pump the hoses will match with the newer steering box and add the drive pulley you do not have to every thing else .

It is a whole lot easier to use a 73+ pump and use brackets for a short water pump (they will bolt right on). I have seen the brackets for the power steering pump with a short water pump in several catalogs. Corvettes used the short waterpump up until the early eighties with the newer style power steering pump. You won't have to change anything else.
