Wish I could help, but I'm in the same boat. I just payed $45 plus freight for a supposedly "tight", used, non-tilt, column. Hope it comes soon. Every time I turn the wheel my horn sounds and my starter sometimes bumps over. Unplugged horn relay and neutral safety switch as TEMPORARY fixes.

I'm needing the automatic plastic pointer with the fiber optic wire that goes down through the column and up to the gage panel with the light socket. Is this piece any good on your 67-70 bad columns? My plastic piece is broken and the wire was cut.

I have the light tube. wont give it up though. I need the light socket it plugs into on the instument cluster. If by some slim chance there is one on my new old column, I'll pm ya. Don't need two. no charge 1 or 2 bucks for postage only.

Thanks
