Touche! I need to quit smoking and my stereo will be a whole different investment. My buddy owns a high end stereo shop, so it will be loud and more importantly clear. I was thinking of those late model seats that have the middle backrest with the cupholders in it, but if I go a different route I will give you a call.
Thanks, Dave |

Wes, going back to the seats for a second...you say you just covered them. Did you use a set of covers (like reproductions) that can be purchased? (if so, where?) Or were covers sewn together specifically for those? The reason I ask is I am about to trade a board member for a set of seats exactly like those and they will need to be recovered ( good shape, just wrong color) before I install them.

These were custom made at the uhpolsterer. I did not want the 67 pattern because the Garden Truck is a 72, so I couldn't use one of the bucket seat set that we sell, because they are made just like the originals. I needed the pattern to more closely match the head liner. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Wes, first off, I love the truck. On the center caps, I found some conversion lug nuts on ebay to use the late model center caps. I am at work now and can not access ebay. When I get home will try to get you the email address and price from the guy I bought mine from. He was an honest joe. He goofed and sent me 30 lugnuts and made right on it pronto.

Thank you chickenwing, but I already have the 9/16" lug nuts with the outer thread for the center caps. That part I don't have issues with. It is the center caps themselves. I have the problem solved for the front, as you can see I just cut the center out of the caps. However the rear is what I am having fits about...lol I want it to match the front. On my 72 3/4 ton cheyenne supe, I was able to solve the problem with duely caps, but they realy didn't match. Now GM has a duely caps that match this style cap, but they are for the steel wheels. So the base of the cap is too large in diameter. The only other choice that I have is to cut the center of another pair of caps like the front ones and use a chrome paint or something for the end of the axles. That however is my last resort choice, but is starting to look like the only choice I will have. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

parts trailer?
Wes, I noticed in the background of you truck pics is a trailer. Is that a mobile parts store that you take to swap meets(as in the Portland,Ore. swap meet?) & shows? Mike
