Steering gear box

Can anyone confirm for me that 1/2 and 3/4 ton all take same steering gear box,and pitman arm?
Haven't looked but can the steering gear box be swapped out with out removing any thing else (71 1/2ton 350) .

well i have removed both ...and don't recall them being defferent!!!!!
the holes in the frame are the same......
my quess is they are the same......
power vs manual......both interchange

I have personally installed the power steering box and arm from a 70 3/4 ton longhorn, into a 69 1/2 ton GMC.
The one ton has the same parts too.

I too have seen no difference between 1/2 and 3/4 ton steering gears.The only difference is 2wd and 4wd boxs.Also my steering gear is leaking from the seal right up by the rag joint..do any of you know if they sell replacement seals and how to change them?

2 wheel drive verses 4 wheel drive....good point.
