Small Diameter Brake Booster
I am looking for a small diameter brake booster for my 72 chevy 2wd front disk. A buddy of mine bought one for his 68 camaro so that the vavle covers on his bbc would clear. He thinks I might have some clearance issues with tall valve covers if I put a regular diameter one on. I am changing it out anyway so I might as well do it right the first time.
Do they make a small diameter one?? Would one off of something else work? Thanks guys

Some of the 3/4 ton trucks have nice small diameter power brake boosters, (3/4 ton boosters are dual diaphram).
We used a small 3/4 ton booster on my son-in-law's 56 because of a clearance issue and it works well. Jim |

If you are looking for new..........I would try http://www.rightstuffdetailing.com/parts_catalog.htm
The cataolg doesn't show the booster on it's own, but I'm pretty sure that it is available that way. The have several different sizes available as options in the disc conversion kits. |

What about mounting it flush to the firewall? It sticks out so far into the engine bay... Has any one done this? What about the rod to the pedal?
