I was coming home after helping out a freind of mine and coming around a turn, I heard my motor just start screaming and HARDLY ANY ACCELERATION. Crap.....it finally caught and made it fine for a few blocks and then it happened again.....so I tried the best i could to make it catch gear....dropped it to low gear to nuetral back to drive and nothing....it caught again and i made it to my street with no problems, but then as soon as I took the turn it did it again....this time it was crawling......UP HILL...so I threw on my hazards cause I knew it was gonna be a long climb up the damn hill. I check the fluid when I got it parked.....nothing different. I checked it the next day and I found a streak of black on it. I think its time for a rebuild.......so there goes the money for my new motor.

What is it? 3spd manual? Powerglide? Shouldn't be too much to have it fixed. That's one good thing about old-school transmissions. Been there done that.
