Just missed out on a great deal
Just my luck! One of my employees just bought a '70 LWB Fleet side for $1200. New engine (350), new trans (th350), new holley carb. New headers, new flowmasters, on and on and on. Painted a couple of years ago. All damaged or rusted panels replaced with new metal.
Why can't I find these deals? I've got more than that just in my engine. Oh well, I will tell him about this board and he can talk about his great deal...

That is so true, the best deals I ever found were when I wasnt even looking, In fact just a couple of days ago,I was over at the house of the guy I bought my 72 big block 3/4 suburban from of which the engine alone is worth more than I paid for the whole burb, and the rig runs and drives great, anyway Im talking to him about the 68 Chevelle ss I was working on, and how i was looking for parts,so he says to me hey I have got a 68 chevelle but its a four door,so he takes me down to take a look at it,and when I see it I cant believe how straight and clean this thing is,it has everything and more that I need for my car,if the engine and tranny were still in it,it would be ready for the street,it have all black interior, and the dash pad which are notorious for cracking is clean straight and crackfree, seatbelt look like new with all the date tags on them, bumpers front and back are straight clean and rustfree,I could go on and on,and the clencher for the deal for me it has all the air conditioning stuff on it.but the price was right at 600.00,so all I can say is be patient and when you least expect it a Great Deal will just fall into your lap.
