simple wiring question
I need to rewire part of my dome light wiring. I bought some replacement wire but they gave me solid core wire rather than strands. Is that fine to use? It does say it is okay around oil and gas.

It'll work fine as long as it's the same gauge (or larger). It just isn't as flexible, and if there's a lot of movement (there shouldn't be) or a stress point, it could tend to break sooner than a stranded wire.
