85 short box restore question

i have a 85short box i'm restorin but all i can find is a86 cab with air and all power but some stuff is messed up a bit but the cab is excellent shape.but here's my question i want to gut the 86 cab and take all the air and power out so i can put all my manual stuff in with wiring and just basic heat no air because it will only be for summer only plz help so i can get started soon....

you logic seems a bit flawed my friend. its hot in the summer, so you may want AC. its cold in the winter, which would be when you only wanted heat. with that said, you can convert from AC, to heat only. i am doing so with my C10. had to make a plate to cover where the heater passage passes through the firewall, and cut out where the heater hoses go through. hard to explain, i can get some pics tomorrow.

well yea thats what i want to do i don't want the ac i just want the basic cab it's only goin to be drove in the summer.........my ac is 60 mph with the window down
