Parts swap question

Hey guys this board is great! I have been reading for a while, but this is my first post. Can you guys tell me If I can put a 71' GMC lwb cab on my 69' Chevy swb frame. Also, are the GMC fenders, doors, and cab the same as my 69's.
Thanks Gary

Sure, you can swap the cabs over with no problems. As a matter of fact, every piece of sheetmetal but the bed will swap over, just because one is a long bed and the other a shorty. GMC and Chevy front clips are different looking though. They swap with each other, but you have to do the whole thing because the grilles and core supports are different.

Swap away.

By the way, post questions like this over in the 67-72 board, rather than the Suburban board.

Gary, the GMC and Chevy trucks are basically the same but have some differences with their fenders and grills (radiator support). All GMC's use dual headlights which require different radiator supports. If you tell us exactly what you have and what you are trying to do, we can help you get there.
Huck---send me an e-mail and perhaps I can help with more detail for you!
