Question What's A Manual Steering Gearbox Worth?

Whats people getting for manual gearboxes for these trucks? I have 2 that came off of trucks I've changed over. 1 was from a 70 Chevy and the other from a 68 GMC. How can you tell if there is excessive play in them or if they are worn out?
Thanks,
Bryan

IMO they are worth the price of scrap metal.

Junkyard prices on these here where I live range from $20-40.

I found the only way to be sure of the play is to have it on the vehicle and rock the wheel back and forth. When they are off the truck, they tend to appear better than they are.

It's tough finding these in really good condition! Most all have alot of play.

Bob,
Thanks for an honest answer instead of an opinion!

I know someone who wants one, but shipping cost would probably be too much.
