checking for shorts with an amp meter
im trying to find out what is draining my battery with an amp meter , any body else ever do it this way , lets see i pull the neg. post on battery and put the leads between . on the neg. post and cable and put the amp gauge on 10 amps and see if it is reading amps. and start pulling fuses until i see which fuse circuit is drawing amps and sucking my battery dead.

Yup, that oughta do it. A test light is actually easier than a meter for this.
If you pulled all your fuses, and it is still draining, unplug the altinator, and then your volt. reg. (maybe it is the otherway around) |
