Pics of my new project

Hi,
Here's a couple pics of the 69 Longbed that I bought from a local impound yard. Its missing the engine and drivetrain but most everything else is there.
Not much rust except the rockers. Has two 350 short blocks in the bed, although they are pretty crusty. I have a nice running 283 left over from a previous project that I plan on installing soon. Best of all was the price $50.00. This is my first truck project so I've been gleening lots of info from you guys.
Thanks
Rick

I agree...looks like a good starting point. I'll asume from your location that it is pretty much a rust free truck too huh?

Longhorn Man, its actually not too bad except for the rocker panels, they're both rusty. The fenders and bed seem solid with a few small dents. I'm not going to start any body work until after I get it running. We'll see then.

Welcome from Northern California! The best thing about this state are the Rust Free trucks. Great score Rick. I thought I got a deal at $400. Careful though, these things have a taste for greenbacks!

Welcome to the board...

For $50, I'm surprised no one on the board has offered to buy it....

Good find, keep posting pics of her.
