There will be a switched 12v terminal of your fuse box for your power wire. Use as test light and make sure it's powered with the key on, but not when the key is off.

i think i wedged my tach light wire under one of the wedge bulbs sockets, but you could splice it in to the dash harness wire for the lights

For my white wire i tapped into the wire feeding the light behind the heater controls. Green wire went to the dizzy, red wire went to the IGN UNFUSED terminal in the fusebox. The black wire i put a spade terminal on, and put under the screw holding the steering collumn in where it goes into the dash. Make sure you clean the area real good so you get a good ground. You can really just connect it to any old screw, the whole truck is grounded.
Also a good idea to buy a inline fuse holder when tapping into the IGN UNFUSED terminal in the fusebox, being that it is of course unfused and you can burn your truck down if your not careful.

see the spaid coming out under the word cluster feed? If you put a femail spaid connector on your white wire, and plug it into that, it'll work with the light switch and no splicing required. Ignition unfused in the upper right would be a good place for the red wire. As far as grounds, I like using one of the bolts that hold the plate under the steering column...never had a problem there. |

I just spliced my light wire into the back of the dash. That way when I used the dimmer switch, my tach would dim with the rest of the lights in the truck !
