PB Booster bracket question
Hi. I just received my used PB booster assembly and have a question about the brackets on the booster. Attached on the driver side bold/nut that hold on the master cylinder is 2 support brackets, one short and bending toward the front, and one long going to the rear of the truck. What are these brackets for? I have seen other trucks boosters and they did not have these that I can remember. It is going on a 1970 GMC 1/2 ton 2wd. I would post pics if I could get something besides a red X to appear where the pic should be.
Thanks everyone.

The long, rearward pointing one is a brace to spread the stress load on the firewall.
The short, frontward facing one should be for the proportioning valve to bolt to.

Thanks, Tx. I should use these brackets then? Did all our truck originally have them?

Yes, absolutely use them.
Here's mine. I pieced the part together. I still don't have the proper braces to go down to the firewall. I just have the one for the proportioning valve.
