There is when you go to spend more $$, and there isn't any more $$ to spend. I'm trying to do just a little here and a little there. This engine is taking all my budget right now. So it will take some time to recoop. I know if I tear it down then I'll find all kinds of things I want to spend money on.

I have 6 vehicles.. 3 of which run.. the other are in constant states of destruction and rebuilding... my goal is to have 3 generations of chevy trucks sittin in my garage! my 71, 83, 89.. then my 08 HHR, my 02 Honda Rancher, and my dads old 76.. chevy country here man!

Don't worry John, I do that a lot too. I'll look at something and talk about doing it, but I figure out how much work it'll be, and I make up some good reasons why I shouldn't do it .

It's not that I don't want to do it. I just still want to drive the truck. So if I only tear one thing down at a time I'm more likely to get it back together faster. Yeah that's it!

Sounds like a good plan to me! I have a garage full of parts for the truck and my Mustang and still haven't busted out a wrench...still waiting on vent window rivets for the truck

Yeah I'm slowly starting to accumulate parts. The bad part is I'm running out of room. I have the back of the truck loaded with stuff that I needed to get out of the way so I could get it in the garage. No better place to put it than in the back of the truck.

isnt it funny how the back end gets full of crap whenever you start doing something... just today i cleaned out the bed again and threw out all my old parts that i have replaced already. there not really much left back there... i think thats a good sign. as soon as i tear into the cab guess where all the parts are going....

on a side note... i really think you have a good plan going john. 1 thing at a time... thats how flamingbig10 has been doing his according to his build thread and look what he's ended up with... just a SHOW TRUCK!!

i can agree on that my box gets so full so fast its dumb my tool box is on the outher side of the garge so one im done with a tool some how insted of it getting back to the tool box it ends up in my trucks box lol. i just cleaned it out the outher day and found so many bolts and stuff that i couldent find before i also found my window trim.

i also think you should just do things one at a time to if i could do it any diffrent thats what i would do. but then and agen i still have 2 years before i can drive so it dosent really matter.

His seat is from a '88-'94 Chevy truck, the floors in the '88-'94's are flat, so it shouldn't take much to mount them in a square body

I believe the '95-'98 will mount the same but are a different design seat.

Yeah yeah I told you guys I'm not a big picture taking person. That and I haven't done anything to it to take pictures of.

Engine got started this weekend. The guy said it sounds AWESOME! I need to get a new carb for it though. The one I was going to use, is getting used on one of my cousin's projects. I did pick up the cherry picker to get my old engine out. I'm going to work on that this week. I just wasn't motivated this weekend.

Tony what Joe said is correct. They bolt in quite well. The only complaint I have about this one is when they bolted it in they didn't put anything to raise the seat up. This one sits lower than stock. I would put a piece of square tubing to raise it up about an inch or so. I like the 95-98 seat better, and that's what I'm going to try and find when I get to the interior.
