Re: Project: Agent Orange
Nothing huge to report other than finally getting the bed cleared out so I can continue on with the Lizard Skin liner & paint.
I was however pretty amazed (PO'd is closer to reality) about how much 'stuff' I had aquired over these last few months back there. Pic for proof. |

Re: Project: Agent Orange
I am amazed every time I go to look for something that I bought to do my projects and then I have to wonder what stash pile I put it in - usually I pick the wrong one first...

Re: Project: Agent Orange
Thankyou, still trying to figure out the best way to go about everything here. By the way, love the look you got with the lizard skin. Definitely going to consider that route now.

Re: Project: Agent Orange
I felt like I had completed a huge project this last clean up, lol. Can't wait to see it all neat and pretty.
You leavin' the factory filler in this one or gettin' crazy? That Hummer filler we looked at a long time ago would look killer if your stickin' with the Hummer wheels. Last edited by Big J; 02-27-2010 at 08:42 AM. |

Re: Project: Agent Orange
Change of life plans have happened...
I'm currently striving to raise capitol for a new business venture, so project Agent Orange is being offered up for sale. (check the classifieds for further details) If the funds come in from other avenues, it won't be sold...to much blood/sweat & tears into this one but if not, what needs to happen will. |

Thanks for the support, looks like it paid off. Appreciate that, thanks. GOOD NEWS!! Unburied the blazer Sunday, drilled the frame for the engine cross member's new 1" forward location and installed the enging/drivetrain again to check fit, placement & what I wanted to do for the tranny/t-case mounting set up. (decided I didn't like nor want to use the stock cross member) The tall 241 mount was unnecessary IMO, so I pulled out the 241 and changed it back to the stock one. (a lot shorter) Plans right now are to fab up a 1" DOM version that will barely hang below the frame rails. Took an air hammer to the floor while it was open to clearance it for the clocked up 241, worked good and provided and nice rounded hump that will never be noticed under the passengers seat. |

Keep it up So how did the lizard skin hold up to you taking a air hammer to the bottom of the floor? Last edited by Big J; 10-04-2010 at 10:58 PM. |

Re: Project: Agent Orange
'puter is currently unhappy, will post em up when it's better.
I hear ya Burt. Thanks, good to hear. Quote:
Not a big concern IMO, when I do the rear section it'll get cleaned taken care of. Still intend on doing a matt finish clear on the floors, so a little touch up won't be a big deal. * Next step is to find a place to buy bushings so I can finish up the rear x-members, then I'll put my attention to the rear bed area. Have a lot of frame clean up to do still also, all the mounts that aren't needed will be getting stripped off. (yea - more rivets to remove) Shock mounts, tranny linkage mounts...ect. |
