Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
Finally, another update. This is a mix of some older pictures that I just got and 2 new pictures.
First with the older pictures. These are when the inside of the tub was being prepped and painted. And here is where it is at today. The motor and transmission are in, the wheels are on and the assembly process is underway. They said it should be done by early summer. I'm crossing my fingers. |

Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
You might consider cutting holes in that crossmember for the exhaust. Reinforce with some 4" pipe. It will help to keep the exhaust system for that 502 up so it wont be draggin. I just did a 502 install and ran 3" full length.

Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
I did it on a 4x4 blazer so no crossmember to deal with. However, its been done lots of times on here when people lower their trucks and blazers to gain extra ground clearance for the exhaust. I think CPP sells one with holes already in it. Here is a link to a thread on the subject.

Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
I got a few more pictures today. It has been moved up into the assembly section of their building. The tub braces have been cut out and the paint fixed where they were welded in. The pictures are a little better than the last group.
They've ordered the Dakota Digital dash cluster, a pully/serpentine system for the engine and a wiring harness. I will post pics of those if/when I get them. |

Looking extremely Sharp! I'd be interested in knowing what steering column and where they got it.. I've got to get one here in the next month.

Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
I have another update. The pulley system, Vintage Air, headers and wiring harness have arrived. Some of the new stuff has already been put on the Blazer. The assembly is in full motion...and I'm very anxious to get this thing done and driving. I know I'm worrying the mess out of the shop but, I'm excited.
Well, here are a few pictures as of this morning. |

Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
Went and checked on the Blazer today. Since they aren't as good at taking pictures as I want them to be I snapped a few. The picture quality isn't too great because they were taken with my phone but, you get the idea. They've installed the AC and they're currently wiring the transmission. They are going to wire everything in the dash and work out from there.

Awesome. Perfect color!
Lol... My color. Love to see it parked next to my Jimmy. Wouldn't it be cool if everyone on this board lived on the same block? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
Tom, what vents are those in your hood? I've been looking for something like that to use as a heat extractor for mine.
