Re: How about some pics of 47-59
going to be titled as a 56. going next weekend to pick a few parts I found on CL. still looking for doors yet. engine wise just going to be running a 307 that I got for $50, once I have it mounted I hooked up 3 wire and an old ignition switch made sure it plug wires were correct order and dizzy was set about right and it fired right up with good oil pressure.

I believe you have to tell the images to self correct upon import.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
I totally agree by the looks of it, a hard truck to find in any condition.
I also lucked out lately, went to help a friend with an engine and ended up buying his 70 2wd Gmc short box stepside 2 weeks ago, had just enough cash plus porting a set of big block heads for him, can't go wrong with that. Good luck with your lucky project. Rick/mudman.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Hello all, I am new to this forum and also new to the old truck world. I have been shopping around for a old 1-2 ton chevy and finally pulled the trigger on a 1947 2 ton. I have a lot of ideas for it in my head but we will see what the checkbook (and the wife) will let me do to it.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Drives great. Just learn from people who have done things I haven't. Definitely going to finish off the bodywork and paint. Change the terrible wheels. Maybe drop the back a little. Has a 10 bolt and need to do the spring flip. Love some members rides and want to do things once
