Re: Not another build thread! Progress on my '67
The rear fenders are really nice too, they just need a couple small patches. I stripped these myself many years ago, they are very straight and have minimal bondo.

Re: Not another build thread! Progress on my '67
No, start another build thread for my current truck. I'll be the first to admit that my truck was a total quickie. It was a dash to get it drivable with decent paint buying as many upgrades and parts as I could before I got married and the wife put the hammer down on my spending
The 67 is going to undergo another transformation. It's going to be a dropped fleetside (I'm thinking 3.5/5 with the same rims/tires it has now) with the correct 67-68 side trim. I basically want a 67 CST Fleetside clone. The good news is that I have this large stash of parts that I can work on, get all cleaned up, replace the rust, and get ready for paint long before I ever touch the currently "finished" truck. She'll probably "look the same" for another 2 years or so. I'm going to take my time this time, and yes, that means an eventual... frame off...

They make such nice aftermarket repop parts (for our trucks) now that it doesn't make much sence to me to find factory parts. I want to replace the pieces that were the most damaged... oh wait, that's just about everything. Keep us posted on the redo progress. If you did such nice work on a "quickie", I can't wait to see how she turns out when you take your time. It will be awesome I bet! Don

Well the truck came out extremely nice. I only have two complaints... 1, it's not mine. 2, you had said earlier in the thread that you were not building a show truck. on that you have failed because this is a beautiful build.

Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to version 2.0 myself
I got the garage... but now I have to finish the house remodel (The majority of the work and changes were my idea, not my wifes, I'm really picky.)

Re: Not another build thread! Progress on my '67
I was SOOOOOO close to actually saying that in my post... but decided against it, but I guess it's fairly obvious
BTW, the garage, NO WHERE NEAR that clean now. It's crammed full of my storage unit stuff, truck parts, a trailer full of yard equipment, and hopefully, with some rearranging, the 67 will fit in there again until I can put all of the stuff in the house

Thanks Don. Every time this gets bumped there's like another thousand views... and nothing to see
Maybe some new members will see it and enjoy it. I've just been driving it lately. I did get some fender well patches from NM from Hart_Rob so I can fix my fleet bed if I ever get it home. I'm currently remodeling my house which is taking forever

Re: Not another build thread! Progress on my '67
Trish,
WELCOME TO THE BOARD!!! You would ordinarily have gotten a response or 12 by now, but this is sort of an old thread, so people don't respond as quickly as they did when it was newer. I hope you've found your answer, or your part, by now. In case you haven't, the best suggestion I can make is to hit the "subscribe" button at the top of any page on the boards, and pay the $25. Then you can post a "WTB" (wanted to buy) ad in the classifieds. If anybody out there has a manifold for a 351, this board is the place to find them. BTW, you can access the classifieds, and reply to ads without subscribing, but if you want to start a new thread in there, you'll have to pony up first. Welcome again, and good luck!! If you need anything else, click on my name, then click on "send a private message to Tynee." I'll do my best to help you out.

Re: Not another build thread! Progress on my '67
Woah, new replies
No, sorry, I have no idea what a 351E is, sounds like a Ford engine Yep, someday! I have all the parts I need to do a proper rebuild, but now I have a 67 Firebird that's next in line, so she'll be a stepside for a hell of a lot longer Thanks all I still drive the piss out of it. Since done, it's been to Tennessee once and North Carolina a bunch of times. I think I've put around 14-15K on it since 2006.

Re: Not another build thread! Progress on my '67
Thanks!
I've owned the truck for 18 years. She still gets driven regularly. She's been parked outside 24/7 for the past 18 years, so she's not quite as pretty as she was in 2006 after the repaint but still looks pretty good. I bought her a buddy to hang out with. If I can ever finish with this new pile o crap (te hee) the truck is getting a rebuild. The mustang has had A LOT done to it. A/C. Complete front suspension rebuild. Complete interior overhaul, and I swapped it from a auto to a 5 speed manual. Day I brought the car home... kinda looks like an "old man car" doesn't it? Well, it was, the PO was in his mid 70s when he sold it to the dealer I bought it from (does the truck look pissed to you?): ... and recent... The last pic of the truck was taken just a few weeks ago with me behind the wheel at a club event.
