Third, where did the air intake setup come from; did you make it or is it a factory setup that you have adapted? (If you made it, where did you get the tubing?) Can you eleborate on the steam vent on the water pump? Where did you take the line after connecting to the pump? I am trying to figure out all of what I need for the LS-1 to make it good. I already have a "Be-Cool Radiator fitted for a LS series motor. I haven't even started thinking about a fuel tank--looks like the Fuel Cell Guy did you right.
1) rattle can PN 1615 high temp aluminum
2) pg.5 of this thread post #105
3)kennedy off road, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-...1397QQtcZphoto
after connecting it to the pump, it goes to the steam tube thats connected to the heads..
also a big help is ls1tech.com, "conversion and hybrids" forum

Thanks for the reply on the other items. As one looks at your build it creates so many other questions, are you open for more? What type of header flange did you use for connecting your pipes to the headers and where are they available at? Also, what brand of rotors did you put on the front spindles?
As you can see, I have along way to go yet.

Re: my official 68 shortstep ls1 thread (lots of pics)

Looking deeper into your forum and it just draws you in further. Excellent work and good discussions on your work.

The Pacesetter headers that you used, were they the ones that is listed as the "Quick Trip" RACE units (without the A.I.R. or EGR). My LS-1 is out of a 2000 Firebird and this should work well with it. I did not see any hookups on your tubes, with the exception of the O2 bungs. Does anyone have Fuel Cell Guy's E-mail?

Ok Don here is the good fender of the two that I could save. Welded up all of the holes that you wanted. No turning back now! Naw, nothing a drill bit can't reverse.

Oh I almost forgot, my new computer friend "Paris". Found her last Saturday at the shop. She just wondered in and we "connected"! I don't even like cats but she will not leave my side now.

You have a new friend "Paris" with a "cat"? Does she let you play with her cat?

Re: my official 68 shortstep ls1 thread (lots of pics)

was bodyworking your hood, fender, and rear fenders tonight, camera is at work. Got the heck out of there tonight and left my briefcase. Will post pics for you tomorrow night when I get home!! The rear fenders are a job. I think they either got beat up with a sack of golf balls or one of those famous Dallas hail storms! LOL!
