Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
Eric, your work is first rate and I'm betting your mom is already very proud of what her son can do. She of course is or will be honored with this build.
I personally have had to deal with that disgusting disease in many forms with my own family. One member of my immediate family is now a thirteen year cancer survivor and completely clear, this against an incredibly poor initial prognosis. My mom sadly succumbed to a much lesser risk a few years ago. I'm not one to give unsolicited advice about things that I could not possibly understand, but I would pay no attention to statistics and maintain a positive outlook as much as you can. Your mom needs this. As for yourself, all I can tell you is what gave me peace throughout my mom's ordeal and still does even today. Let your mom know she is loved. Open the faucets and let it pour, all of it. Leave nothing unsaid. If you already have this kind of relationship in place, then good for you. It will greatly benefit you both now and forever, regardless of outcome. Last edited by oem4me; 05-03-2012 at 12:24 AM. |

Paint looks great. Those raised white letters and wheels kind of grow on you after awhile...Jim

Late to another Superfly party...better late than never. It's a killer idea, design and theme. I hope your mother get's a speedy remission. Cancer sucks! everyone is touched by it, so sorry it's hitting so close to your family again.

You put together the sickest builds man. Very nice as usual. A nice zl1 big block would cool. Have you made up your mind on the drivetrain?

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
If Eric doesnt mind ill answer that question. The motor will be a 408ci iron block LS motor with 5 axis CNC ported LS3 heads, a big comp cam and... the above TVS 1900 magnacharger @ 10 psi of boost. Should make around 650 at the wheels. Those Nittos dont stand a chance

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
I see you have blocks of wood on the bed rails. What is the thickness of those blocks? I want to put a wood bed in my truck. I have all the other parts of the bed except the wood floor. So I want to do the same thing until i get the wood.

The trim looks terrific. Did you polish it? It looks top notch, which it has to, to go with those rims.

You no I really had to push the rear fender trim in place to get it were I wanted. Quality and hardware is awsome but the rear fender was really a pain in the butt |
