Re: Film Guy Project Build Thread........
I talked to him for a while @ GG's Ft.Worth. Life is good for him but he didn't offer up any truck updates. He was going through a rough patch when he was on here more frequently so 'life is good' was good enough for me to hear.

Re: Film Guy Project Build Thread........
Hi Guys,
There hasn't been much progress with my truck lately. I seem to be having a tuff time getting through the body work/paint stage. I just cannot find anyone that knows these trucks inside and out and honest that will take on my project. I have the bed somewhere now and progress is very slow. I love this truck but starting to loose wind. I hate to bail out. I need help! Anyone know someone that can do paint and body work. I am paticular and expect show quality. Not over the top with mods. Body should look stock when completed. There is no rust! I have lots of great state of the art parts sitting in boxes waiting to be installed. I need to move forward or bail out. Can anyone help! I prefer to stay local DFW area, but will gladly take anywhere in contintal U.S. if needed. I have lots of vacation time and access to dually and many inclosed trailers. Suggestions? |

Re: Film Guy Project Build Thread........
"I have it at the body shop getting the paint and body work done. I must say, Jeff Kegans (body shop owner/operator) is going above and beyond what I ever expected on this job. He is very excited about this project and is putting forth his best effort. This, in my opinion, is very hard to find these days. He has the cab on a jig and the bed on a stand and parts scattered all over the shop right now and it's not much to look at. But I will post some pics when I got something to show you guys."
Did I miss something here?????? What happened @ Kegans shop?????? Your truck is just amazing build. I hope you don't bail out.... I am new to this site and your truck has got to be my favorite so far. I can't wait to see it finished.

Check out Mitch Henderson Designs. He's getting a lot of pub with his C-10 and it's awesome from fabrication through paint. He's local too.

Re: Film Guy Project Build Thread........
Check out Boudreaux Rods and Customs in Fort Worth. They are know around the SEMA network of guys. They have painted several Riddler Award Winning Cars. They painted my El Camino in 2006, 66 Sunfire Yellow and Black, still stunning paint to this day. Not Cheep but worth every penny. My 66 El Camino has been on 3 power tours, in the SEMA booth with Painless Wiring, multiple Hot Rod magazine pictures of it, Featured in Dec 2007 Super Rod Magazine, and on Hot Rod TV. Give Jimmy Boudreaux a call, he can and will take excellent care of the piant and body.
If not, my buddy Jason Hanchey owns a body shop in Killeen Texas ( about 3 hours from Dallas) called Fort Hood Auto. Check him out on the web at forthoodauto.com his personal vehicle is a 70 C10 with dropmember front, 31/2 z in back, suicide doors, etc. Great guys to deal with. AC

Re: Film Guy Project Build Thread........
As far as Jeff Kegans, He turned out to be a thief. Talks a good game. May even be able to do good body work. In fact I have seen some stuff he has done and it is excellent. But not on my truck. He butchered an NOS tail gate and front fenders. He decidede to do mods that I didn't want or authorize. He even cut the back of one of the OEM bed sides off. Didn't weld it back on and then decided he would rather work on other things. Truck sat for 13 months. I'm just sick about that whole mess. But I put it behind me and it's time to move on. We all make mistakes and I made a big costly one trusting Jeff Kegans. I consider myself lucky just to get the truck back. Thanks to all the forum members for your support.
