Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
the LS1 coil brackets tilt the coil forward at a angle.....what you can do is either get the correct coil bracket, or using a 3/8 tube bender tool, slightly bend it up/back enough to clear the coil...i forgot about that clearence problem when switching to a car intake...
mike nutt, could you give details to what you've done? i see you have a AN ftng off the FPR, are those stock rails? |

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
Problem solved! Thanks Mike.
I was also able to get the gas pedal in. Cool thing about this one is it is from a truck with adjustable pedals. I was able to remove the cable that adjusted it and it can be adjusted with a screwdriver. It can move back or forward an inch or so. Im getting closer to cranking this thing! |

Nice progress. So how much does the asking price jump when it runs for the first time

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
Stuck the carpet in temporarily to see how far it would go up on the firewall and check a few clearances. Color actually matches really well to not be a true custom cut carpet. I did go with the newer looking pile verses the older loop style.

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
Made some more progress today. Mostly just finished up some odd and ends.
I was able to finish the filler neck - turned out pretty good. I taped up a few wires and tightened up the started so I could install the the header for the last time. I painted the support bar we added to gain a little more clearance for the rearend housing. I painted it with the upol raptor liner to match the underside. You won't see it from the top. Also finished mounting the air compressor, tanks, finished wiring the all the air ride components and tidy up some existing wiring (not pic'd) The the last pic is a warning - While vigorously shaking the upol can per the directions - the top might bust and throw stuff everywhere. I was very lucky it was only my hand, shirt and floor - it was inches from being all over the Blazer! |

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
Get them started early!
New headlights ready for install. And I decided to upgrade the front shock waves to the new version with the built in height sensor. I didn't like the way the external sensor was going to look on the front suspension. |

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
Finally got around to working on the Blazer today. My son was born on April 28 and has been in the ICU since so priorities have shifted a little. Sorry about the quality of the pics my wife has the good camera today. Hope to roll it out for better pics as soon as the sun stays out for more than an hour!!
