Re: Project Blue Goose

I've been thinking about how to approach finishing the truck. When I spoke with Boris we discussed repairing the cab rust, painting the firewall and using Lizard Skin on the underside of the cab.

I would then be able to mount the cab back onto the frame. This is where I don't know how I want to proceed with the build. I've been contemplating just putting the truck back together and driving it. Boris suggested faux patina the bed so that it matches the front of the truck.

I am going to paint the core support and inner fenders satin black and would like to detail the engine.

If the budget allows I would like to paint the interior but that's a big maybe.

I'm just typing out my thoughts

Re: Project Blue Goose

Good to see your thinking about getting back on the truck. I like the idea Boris has about doing the fauxtina on the bed to match the front of the truck. Atleast you'll know, if street machinery is doing it, it will be done right. Get it on the road and enjoy it, you can always repaint it later on. I plan to do the same with my truck when the time comes.

Yeah I have to get it back in one piece cause I've been thinking about selling so maybe that will spark my interest again.

Yes they are 15" wheels, CPP modular spindles with there cross drilled and slotted rotors. The calipers are Wilwood D52's, they should work better than the drums brakes that I took off

Re: Project Blue Goose

My pops always calls me crazy for future reference pictures as I take them with every step but when he calls me forgetting what direction he angled the cut on some fabbed bar then he realizes how valuable they are when the brain is going a hundred miles an hour at night
