Re: Project 78 High Sierra
Well gave up fixing the leak...stripped all the caulk out from the front of the wall and installed drip edge bent up on the inside...So now it can just drop out the front

Re: Project 78 High Sierra
Well it seems to of fixed the leak problems except on the one corner....So i installed some more on that corner as i think it was leaking at the connector to the spout...ON top of that with it leaking down the wall it started seeping in where the plywood connects!!! UGH!! So now...I have double trip edge....Using a second set of drip edge i created a 1" lip and used silicon gutter caulk to seal them together.... Now I just need some rain.... Once i verify its leak free i can clean it up, patch the big gash i cut in it, and paint it to look nice lol
Everything is moving along slowly due to my hardcore training schedule.... I have my first MMA fight Nov 10th (9 days before my 30th birthday)....So needless to say I have been going not stop getting my butt in shape, working my boxing, wrestling, and jui jitsu... So progress will continue to come in slowly i just hope to get the shop done pretty soon so i can work on stuff in the winter.....

Re: Project 78 High Sierra
Well i have it installed and running but it needs some work... Needs to be tuned as idle is a bit high and a little timing maybe as well...
The real bad part...Breaks arent wokring WTF Probably need to bleed them but i cant really stop the truck so its not drivable at the moment

Re: Project 78 High Sierra
All is working now....There was either a bad vacuum port or a bad diagram...The brakes work and he timing was a vacuum issue with the spark advance so shes running good again

Re: Project 78 High Sierra
Ok so here before and pics.....Had to cut off the end of the spark advanced vacuum to get everything back in "time", cut off the brake booster vacuum end to make it fit tighter and installed it on the back of the carb and reinstalled the PCV to the front of the carb. Also the fuel filter has been moved from on top of the block and between the carb and fuel line to the fuel line just be for the pump. Now I dont have to worry about it breaking and catching the truck on fire as much.....
Moved the PCV to the left Valve cover at the back, removed tube connector to the Air filter from the valve covers and added a small air filter. Also on the actual air filter to cover the air tube connection i cut a small piece of cardboard, and flip the connector upside down to block the hole Also added a new connector to a small vacuum line that attaches near the heater/ac box and goes into the cab....What is this thing? It has broken a million times and i hoping the new connecter fixes this.... Just figured out coolant is low and the brakes need to be flushed as it looks like turd water lol So I bought a brake bleeder/flush tool...Soon that will be in the works... Trying to make the truck drivable for winter lol

Well the barn doors started off well but due to the messed up slab the doors are a bit off.. Gotta buy some more wood to finish it off but have a lip and usable doors regardless

Re: Project 78 High Sierra
Found out the electric choke wire was wired all wonky and didnt quiet suffice what it was suppose to be. So wired in a brand new choke wire.... Adjusted the choke setting a bit, the fuel mixture, and the idle a little bit as well...Shes running better but not sure she is quiet their yet.....Time will tell

Re: Project 78 High Sierra
Electrical went crazy and after pulling ever fuse i figured out that the hazards should not be used....It will make everything go wonky so the truck is back up and working again but i have no clue whats wrong with the hazard setup.....weird
On the bright side with the help of RUSBUILT i scored 2 amazingly solid fenders off a 1980 C20....Ill have to weld some screw holes used to hold the trim on and a couple small scratches and dings but they are awesome! No Rust at all!!!! Also decided to go back to black gauges because it looks better but i painted the needles silver..On top of that a new cluster housing because the old one had one bad light connection plate that caused issue. So i painted the new housing white
