Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods
I always like a consistent 'look' when modding the floors on these trucks.
I know some do the extra effort w/the 100% flat steel/coated floors & notch cover but I see sooo many pop in just the smooth notch covers on top of the OE floor. For me, maintaining the OE floor this way is the better option. I did the floors for my RetroRod & my dually similarly.

Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods
The main reason the whole floor was not raised up.Goodguys wants as much floor space
for luggage when they drive this truck across country. They do not like it when the whole floor is raised and you loose alot of your floor space. There will be a flush mount bed cover going on the bed to. As always I like to hear all the opinions from all.Keep them coming Justin |

I wanted as much floor 'space' as possible & I prefer the tubs OE size/height. On my RetroRod, I did a combo of raising the OE floor 4" as well as the notch over the rear 4". My dually is just the notch section (7") since it's still a work truck w/a full depth tool box in the front bed area.

Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods
I have loved all the work on this truck so i hope you don't mind my asking cause i am sure as heck not a body man and i'd also love to win the truck too, in the lower portions of the bed why the angle iron welded in? It kinda looks out of place with the rest of the build, i was thinking maybe something on the bottom side would look a lot cleaner? I must agree on just raising the area for the frame, i think it looks great too.

A high end shop here in town did theirs similarly, but hinged the top so you could see the framework. Came out slick, I like it.

Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods
I love the way the bed looks! But I'll probably do it the "easy" way and just raise the whole thing on my son's truck.....

Can't wait for paint. Is this truck's paint going to be the standard GG scheme?
